Back in 2013 I took a photo of a Bald Eagle. The photo was taken with a Nikon point and shoot camera; the photo was terrible. However, you could tell it was a Bald Eagle. Little did I know at the time that photo would start my digital photography adventure. From that point on I learned everything I could about “The American Bald Eagle” and digital photography.

The photo I learned in a few short months was a male Bald Eagle. Over the years I have taken thousands of photos of this male Bald Eagle. I call him “The Dad”, he has produced many, many offspring over the years I have photographed him. The American Bald Eagle is by far my favorite all because of the male at Rondout Reservoir. He is a showman and I have learned everything about Bald Eagles from “The Dad”.
