G&K better known as Gemini and Katherine. I have followed this pair for about 7 years and starting calling the male Bald Eagle Gemini, he is strong, handsome, bold and a showman. He reminds me so much in the early years of “The Dad”. I just started calling him Gemini after one of the space missions. He will never replace “The Dad” however, he is my second all time favorite Bald Eagle. Several people suggested I name the female. I am not in the habit of naming Bald Eagles but, I hope to follow this pair for many years to come. So I put a questioner on on Face Book page for name suggestions. A good friend recommended Katherine after Katherine Johnson.  She was an American mathematician whose calculations of orbital mechanics as a NASA employee were critical to the success of the first and subsequent U.S. crewed spaceflights. I know refer to the female Bald Eagle as Katherine. There is currently 1 eaglet in their nest and I have followed it all going back to the breeding. I have kept everything up to date on my Face Book page, Eagle Passion.  There will be more to come in the near future.
